Isobel Fletcher

Isobel Fletcher, Acting CEO. Since 2017, Isobel has delivered sustainable NBS business modelling and entrepreneurial workshops in each of the fast follower cities implementing nature-based solutions in the H2020 Connecting Nature project and is work package lead for Communications, Dissemination and Exploitation for the project. Isobel along with her colleagues manages the Connecting Nature Enterprise Platform with specific responsibility for the team of 11 Community Ambassadors leading the Communities of Practice on the platform. Since 2020, she has assumed responsibility for coordinating the Innovation Work Package in H2020 project GoGreenRoutes 2020-2024. Isobel took over as Acting CEO of Horizon Nua in June 2021.

With over 20 years’ experience working with organisations in the commercial, NGO, EU, community and voluntary sectors in Ireland and across the EU, Isobel has provided business development supports to many SME’s, start-ups and social enterprises through the LEADER Rural Development Programme, Leonardo da Vinci Education and Training Programme, FP7 and H2020. Examples of the type of European project managed include a €5m agri-food accelerator, which supported 50 SME’s and had a project team of 9 organisations spread across the EU. Isobel holds postgraduate level qualifications in banking and finance and is a certified trainer.

FIONA COOPER

Fiona Cooper joined Horizon Nua as Project Manager in June 2017. Fiona has a background in community development and facilitation.  She has a keen interest in social innovation and community based projects.

ESMEE KOOIJMAN

Esmee has joined Horizon Nua as Project Manager in 2020 to support the development of the Connecting Nature Enterprise Platform. She works in Trinity College Dublin's Centre for Social Innovation as a researcher on Nature-Based Enterprise and supports cities with entrepreneurship strategies for nature-based solutions.

Esmee has a Master's degree in Earth Sciences and Environmental Management, and has previous experience in research (University College Dublin), innovation & funding consulting for environmental projects (EGEN / PNO) and building communities for climate action (EIT Climate-KIC).
